Farm holidays in Sardinia in the province of Cagliari, in the midst of nature

Nurazzolas is in the Villaputzu`s country, on the South-Eastern Sardinia coast, situated at about 73 kilometres from Cagliari and 4 kilometres from Villaputzu`s centre. It`s in a part of the island where coastline and mountains create a unique backdrop of great natural beauty.

Villaputzu and the neighbouring centres have a large number of archaeological sites: the sacred well Is Pirois, the romanesque church of St. Nicholas, built by the Pisans in the 12th century on the bank of Flumini Durci.

In the vicinity you can find the ruins of the Quirra castle, for a long time it has been the residence of the Carroz, lords of the great domain.

Not far from the castle, towards the sea, stands Murtas Tower , it`s part of the coastal defence system which also included others towers: San Lorenzo and Motta Tower.

Along the road 125, just before the bridge on the river Corr`e Cerbu, after seven kilometres in a practicable road (also by car), we arrive to the mineral deposit of Baccu Locci; they now form a valuable cultural beritage recognised by UNESCO. It was at work up to the fifties, nowadays evidences of the past are the ruins of the village buildings.

A few kilometres south of Nurazzolas, you can find Porto Corallo.

Here the coastline is very different, a long sandy beach broken only by the mouth of the Flumendosa and many rocky inlets, where until recently it was possible to find pieces of coral.

Recently a harbour equipped to cater small and medium-sized boats has been built in the vicinity.

Thanks to his position geographically favourable, the Agriturismo Nurazzolas is near the biggest Sardinian tourist centers as:

- Dorgali

From Porto Torres-Sassari by Cagliari:

- follow the road signal for Cagliari
- turn for Quartu Sant`Elena-Villasimius ( SS 554 );
- turn for Muravera ( SS 125 );
- turn for Villaputzu, cover the inhabited center and
   continue up to the km. 73.250;
- turn in the asphalted road to your right and continued
for about 800 meters up to the signal “NURAZZOLAS
Agriturismo”.

From Cagliari airport:

-     to the exit from the airport follow the indications
             to Cagliari;
-     turn by Quartu Sant`Elena-Villasimius ( SS 554 );
-     turn by Muravera ( SS 125 );
-     turn for Villaputzu, cover the inhabited center
             and continue up to the km. 73.25;
-     turn in the asphalted road to your right and
             continue for about 800 meters up to the
             signal “NURAZZOLAS Agriturismo”.

From Olbia:

- take the government road 131 in the direction of Nuoro;
- after about a hour, near Nuoro leave the road 131 to
   the “Nuoro-Lanusei” exit and you take the government
   road 389 for Lanusei;
- continue until Lanusei and you follow the indications to
   Cagliari;
- you arrive so to the government road 125. You follow
   the indication Cagliari-Muravera;
- exit from the new road 125 after the kilometre 55, to
    the “Murtas” indication.
- then you continue by Villaputzu until the km 73.250;
- turn in the asphalted road to your left and continued for
   about 800 meters up to the signal “NURAZZOLAS
   Agriturismo”.
